Most people meet AI through a blank chat box. You type a question, get an answer, and start again from nothing tomorrow. It works, but it never gets better, because nothing you told it yesterday survives.

The fix is not a cleverer prompt. It is giving the assistant somewhere to keep what it knows about you — how you write, what you are working on, the rules that always apply. That is what the setup map is: a single page showing how the pieces fit together.

What the map covers

  • Your writing voice, including the words and habits you never want used
  • Standing instructions that apply to every conversation, not just this one
  • Project folders, so work in progress has a home instead of living in chat history
  • Practical security rules — what an assistant should never be asked to handle

None of it is complicated. It is mostly deciding once, writing it down, and letting the assistant read it every time instead of re-explaining yourself.

Why we bothered

Co Connect exists because information that lives in someone's head, or in an inbox, does not reach the people who need it. That problem does not stop at the mine gate — it shows up in how any small team uses new tools.

We built this for ourselves first. It made a real difference to how quickly we could get useful work out of an AI assistant, so we are sharing it.
